disrupting systems
Our interconnected initiatives drive systematic change, challenging school power dynamics by offering free, comprehensive sex education. Equipping teachers with essential tools addresses the urgency of teaching politically charged topics. As sex education faces increasing restrictions in schools, our publication initiative provides expansive resources for parents to bridge the gap at home. Yet, the stigma surrounding these discussions persists. Our ambassador program empowers young individuals to lead, dismantling fear and fostering open conversations about sex, identity, and bodies. These initiatives create a generation valuing inclusive sex education, positively transforming our future political landscape.
Interconnected Initiatives: Empowering Through Comprehensive Sex Education
At The School of Sexuality Project, our three interconnected initiatives are crucial in achieving our vision of comprehensive sex education as a unifying force. These initiatives work harmoniously to break down barriers, empower individuals, and foster societal inclusivity. Let's explore how each initiative contributes to our mission:
Comprehensive Sex Education Curriculum:
Our first initiative focuses on developing a comprehensive sex education curriculum that empowers individuals with essential knowledge and understanding about sexuality, relationships, and consent. The curriculum includes interactive video lectures, hands-on activities, and state-specific teacher guides, ensuring accessibility for educators and students alike. By offering this inclusive curriculum, we aim to break down stigmas, foster empathy, and provide vital information to support healthy decision-making and relationships.
To guarantee that educators are adequately prepared to impart this delicate content, we organize an Educator Cohort biannually—once during the summer and once in the winter. The Cohort comprises four workshops designed to furnish you with the necessary resources for presenting The School of Sexuality Curriculum in a trauma-informed and sex-positive manner. Each session accommodates 10 educators, and upon certification, all educators gain complete access to the curriculum.

Inclusive Educational Books:
Our second initiative centers around publishing educational books written by LGBTQ+ and BIPOC authors, specifically targeted towards young people and parents. These books aim to promote representation and inclusivity in sex education literature, helping individuals of all backgrounds see themselves reflected in the materials they learn from. By empowering diverse voices to share their stories and knowledge, we work towards a more inclusive and diverse understanding of sexuality and relationships.
Parent Educator Ambassador Program:
Our third initiative involves the Parent Educator Ambassador Program, a unique intergenerational approach to bridge the communication gap between parents and young individuals. Through this program, we train and empower teenagers to become ambassadors, leading educational workshops for parents on identity, sexuality, body, and expression. We promote understanding, acceptance, and support within families and communities by fostering open and empathetic conversations between generations.
